A while back I paired up with the amazing ladies of FRESHAIR Boutique for a styled shoot out at a client's barn. The results were magical! With Renee & Jill killing it in front of the lens and the always talented Christie and Praise styling the shoot you couldn't really go wrong. It was a nice change of scenery to escape the city and incorporate the horses in the shoot. If you haven't already, these images are up at Freshair, go check them out. While you're at it you might as well get your hair did and nails done. Renee, is pretty fantastic nail artist and you can't go wrong with any member of the hair team. Do it. It's Friday. xoxo.
Loving this couple and can't wait for their wedding September 7th.
These past few weeks have been fairly busy, filled with interviews, sessions, branding ideas and potlucks plus much more, so I apologize for the lack of activity here on the blog. A friend of mine asked me to join in on her studio session with the local band, The Proud Sons, who by the way, are playing on July 4th at the West End Cultural Centre if any of you want to check them out. They are pretttty greeaaat! These shots are from our first session in her studio just roaming around and hanging out. I threw in a few fun outtakes for you too!
A few months ago I teamed up with Poster, Haley Golin, Jessica Kmiec, Chelsea Neufeld and Amanda D. to photograph Poster's new Tee's! I believe there still are a few left at Freshair on Academy or Green Apple on Corydon. Hit them up for a T!
If we were to go back 5 years I would not have imagined my life as it is now. I feel truly blessed to have had such amazing opportunities and am very grateful for all of my wonderful clients and friends. Photography has grown to be my entire world and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you!! I began to dream up this gorgeous styled wedding a little over a month ago. On the hunt for the perfect couple I was immediately drawn to Emilie and Toshio. Having already met them a few times through friends I fell in love with their chemistry with each other and knew I needed to photograph the two of them. I am grateful for having such an amazing team to work with; Jessica Kmiec working her makeup magic, Haley Golin creating a gorgeous hairstyle and Academy Florists providing the flowers.

For round two of Out of the Blue's blog street scene I decided to head to The Forks on Boxing Day to see who skipped out on all the crazy deals and mass amounts of people. I was pleasantly surprised to find many people out with their families spending time on the river trail, drinking coffee, wandering what was open in the markets or just hanging out. The weather wasn't unbearable if you were wearing a warm coat and a good set of mitts, long johns and wool socks, Canadian essentials. I met Hailey Grey, a born and raised Winnipeger visiting from Montreal, on her way for the first skate of the season. Everyone has their holiday favourites that they can't go without, whether it be jam-jams (my personal fave), butter tarts, turkey stuffing or all the mass amounts of alcoholic beverages, so I asked Hailey to share hers.
Most Desired Drink: Hot Toddies are a must to keep you warm, plus if there is tea in it it's not that bad for you right?
Baking Necessity: Shortbread cookies are a staple. Who doesn't love a good shortbread cookie.
Dinner Dish: Perogies are eaten daily over the holidays.
A few days before Christmas I was asked to get together with the lovely Schram family for a quick session while the whole crew was together. I had the opportunity of photographing Carly and Ben a few years ago so it was great to be able to photograph the gorgeous couple again and meet the rest of the family this time. We met up at Assiniboine Park on a Sunday afternoon to take advantage of the gorgeous trails as well as the Duck pond shelter to warm up in between shooting. Everyone was in high spirits despite the extremely cold temperatures. We were able to tough it out and get some amazing shots!
Last Saturday morning before Christmas, a friend had asked me to photograph her and her boyfriend for their parents. I was absolutely thrilled at the idea and couldn't be happier with the results. They have to be up there with "Most Stunning Couple of the Year" award. This was such a fun shoot! We took a quick trip to Assiniboine Forest early one morning for gorgeous trees and snow, it was perfect!
